I live in sunny South Africa – some distance from Cape Town.

I discovered the Hub Pages a few months ago and posted one or two Hubs and deleted them again after a while.

Guess I could be classified as a complicated, challenging, trying, complex and demanding person – not because I want to be, maybe it is just my nature.  I wear combat boots most of the time – just in case.  An ex colleague also labelled me as a smart-ass (who me?)

My interests are so vast that I sometimes forget what it is I’m interested in.   At some point I had to catalogue what they were.  Some day I decide for instance I’m not interested in this or that and it has to take a backseat to a new interest.  My interests were always (mostly) limited to anything to do with art (did a diploma in commercial art some years ago – should be working for an advertising company or something) – pottery and ceramics (I had a few students couple of years ago), reading, writing, kayaking (when weather permits), walking long distances, painting, sketching, sculpting, soap making, aviation, photography and many, many more.  Oh and I love food (I just don’t like cooking much) - anything but pizzas and muffins.  And I don’t have a sweet tooth – I prefer savoury food.

I’m a bit on the quiet side and prefer my own company rather than to be in the company of a crowd.  Don’t get me wrong, I like spending time with friends or associates, but in general, I like being on my own.  Apart from the above, I also have a very good sense of humour and I just love jokes – as long as it is not to make fun of someone or humiliate them in any way.  But I love a good laugh!

A while ago I started thinking about writing after a friend suggested it saying I have a very good way of writing about things that interest me.  That is how I discovered Hub Pages.   Not being much of a talker (passionately dislike phones), I find it easier to put my thoughts on paper rather than to talk about them.  Bit on the shy side as well. You won’t find me talking about topics I’m not comfortable with like relationships and so on.

My Hub Pages will be limited (mostly) to my interests.  I may throw in pages on  different topics.
